Learn to Succeed: CEO's Last Advice

Yesterday was our CEO's last day. We were invited to his farewell lunch and he went round each table to speak to us and finally gave us his last speech.

It was a tearful moment for me although I worked less days than him. He had been with us for 9 years. Okay, let's not go into the specifics of why it's a tearful moment for me.

He left us a memorable advice, one which is related to what I'm planning. Before I go into the details, I asked him two questions.

The first question was what was his most memorable moment in our company which he's going to miss. The second question was what he would like to be when he go over to his new company.

The answer to his second question impacted me. He said to be myself, to be true to myself. In fact, he asked us to be true to ourselves and do the things that we would like to be. The rest quickly asked him back whether he has been his true self during all those years in NCSS. I couldn't remember that in detail but his first answer still lingers in my mind.

Now, his last advice was: Define your success. That was the most impactful one cos all of us wanted to be successful. The definition of success differs in everyone and this is very true. Some people perceives that they are successful if they earn their first million. Others would perceive success if they become a CEO in a MNC. Still there are people who perceive themselves as being successful when they leave a legacy behind.

I wanted to be successful. Of course, the immediate success I wanted to see of myself is to enable my family to be less dependant upon my parents and parents-in-law. I wanted to prove to myself that I can live the kind of lifestyle I want. This takes time and I have discovered a way to do it, although not so soon. Here's how=>The way to success

My next blog will be about Charisma. Look out for my next blog.

Learn to succeed: 19 April 2007

Today, I'm glad I made one step heading towards achieving success.

How, you may ask? By making the commitment to attend another weekly Thursday workshop with OnlineIncomeHub. Despite my difficulty of being new in this internet opportunity, I have continued to be open about learning, in fact, I love to learn.

And with God's blessings, I believe I'm blessed with wonderful people as my upline. Today was the first time that I ever spoke to Jaz, Patrick, Brian & Roy!! I found myself enjoying every moment in the classroom.

I felt like back in school again, with Jaz & Patrick as our teachers... 8) I have learnt a lot from Jaz and I'm eternally grateful.

For the past few weeks, I found myself having lack of sleep. You may ask why, well, I'm a mother of 15months plus. Some of you who have seen me but not known me may be surprised to know this. Well, it's true and being a full time working mother, it's a challenge to cope with so many duties on hand.

I hope I will be given personal coaching and I desire to be successful, not only financially but also in terms of personal development, particularly in communication and relationship building. Of course, I also believe in leadership development. A leader who is well-developed will be able to lead their members into continuous succession.

Find out what I'm so passionate about.

Inspired - 5 April 2007

I've not made a wrong decision to listen to Stephen Pierce tonight. In a way, I get to know a few new friends and it's been fun till now.

For the past few weeks, I have been cracking my brain how I should utilise my time to the maximum. Being a vain pot, I like to do make up for work.

Being a mother of 15months, I have not lost my desire to be slimmer and prettier. Well, it may not be every woman's wish to be attractive. Despite my tight financial status, I desire to feel good about myself, in terms of appearance and body language.

After going through 2 courses with Jill Lowe Image consultants, I figured out that I'm a Spring Winter and am a soft straight. This helped a lot in my total image and dressing sense. Of course, I have a lot to learn and I still enjoy learning.

Singing is still a part of my life, I have never given up that dream but a part of my life have to be given to my little darling son. He's a wonderful baby. At around 13th month plus, he started to walk and now at 15th month, he can really walk very fast.

Motherhood is a tremendous effort on my part. It's not easy to cope with work, children and personal interest (singing) at the same time. And now, I have a new hobby - that is to learn motivational courses online. It's going to get more interesting, I will update you later.
